The quest to marry Shelley & Chris…(and the return of Betty the pug)

Following on from my previous post of Shelley & Chris’s lovely little engagement sunset session, I excitedly bring their update…

These guys have been through one of the biggest rollercoaster rides to get to the point of being Mr & Mrs. From plans to marry in Ibiza, to the Cotswolds, to 30 guests, to 15 guests, to London, to possibly Lanzarote, to 5 guests, to finally London on the 4th November (the day before lockdown) instead of their original date of the 7th. To add to it all, they had 3 days to organise the whole thing after the news of lockdown broke out.

From getting their new date stitched into Shelley’s veil and sourcing accessories from Etsy, to finding somewhere for their family to share dinner. With the pressure to also find a venue to hold a ceremony for them within such a tiny timeframe, they were just struck with all the luck after receiving a call from Chelsea Town Hall on Sunday, offering them their last available slot & squeezing in just before lockdown. Luck continued after a string of horrific rainy weather cleared to welcome the most beautiful sunny, crisp autumnal day.

After having seen everything through with S & C, it almost felt like I was seeing my own friends get married and I felt honoured to spend the day with them & their family along with Ben who created the most beautiful film for them.

5 (?) different plans, 3/4 venue changes, 4 guest list changes & a dress change, but in the end 1 very happy (and impeccably dressed) couple! A day that in my eyes will be a proper little piece of history.
