Where oh where do I even start with this trip?
In October, I made a bit of a rash decision. I am always the sort of person that LOVES spontaneity and with thoughts of winter ahead and the close of 2019 weddings, I knew I wanted to throw myself into something inspiring and creative to work on in my spare time, so of course, I decided to book with only a few weeks notice to go and spend a week in the Canary Islands with a bunch of awesome photographers on the Wolves Workshop.
Admittedly, the trip didn’t start off too smoothly – I smugly got to the airport ridiculously early to then almost miss my flight due to a ‘laptop-left-in-security-situation’ (I still cringe now) but I made it (I nearly had an asthma attack running through Stansted Airport, but I made it) but, I honestly did not prepare myself for how incredibly beautiful, inspiring, uplifting and emotional this trip would be.
I met some truly wonderful people and got to live in the cutest apartment with the sweetest, funniest gal pals who shared my love of binging on food including, but not limited to pringles, cake and meat & cheese baguettes. Oh and sweet rum. Lots of sweet rum. I also got to hang out with and learn from other photographers that have inspired me for years, which was completely surreal.
We sang, and danced every. single. night. We stocked up on mojitos and jumped off a huge boat into the North Atlantic Ocean. We laughed and cried (an awful lot) and we became a wolf pack that created some pure magic.
I am so so grateful I was lucky enough to have this experience and my heart is SO happy.
P.S. If you ever have the chance to visit La Graciosa, you MUST.
